The worst ethics scandal in the history of the Senate. That is how the Keating Five Scandal has come to be described by observers. And who, you may ask, was at the center of this scandal? None other than Johnny ”Clean Up Washington” McCain. I guess Orwell was right about that memory hole thing, huh? But there seem to be some Winston Smith types out there who just don’t know how to let things burn. Thanks to some of the good folks over at the Ministry of Truth this little diddy was saved from the incinerator.
